I'm a Reader at St John's, Fareham, and one of the four Readers on the staff there. Which church is that you ask? Well it's the one with the blue tiled roof. OK?

My interest in storytelling is put to use in the Sunday School, holiday clubs, secondary school assemblies - and preaching too. My other interest is that of walking and this finds an outlet in my involvement in the evangelistic walk missions to various parts of the UK that are organised by Through Faith Missions.

I've lived in Fareham since 1965 and for much of that time I worked at the University of Portsmouth as a lecturer and; yes you've guessed it; a Reader. So now I'm involved in Reader Training, both as a tutor and as an administrator it feels like I never left the university! But of course the skills the church needs are often developed whilst in secular employment.
